A robust carbon footprint needs both. Solitwork integrates with ERP and other business data sources and calculates emissions across all three scopes:
SPEND-BASED AND ACTIVITY-BASED
Spend-based and activity-based calculations work side by side in the same solution. Financial transactions support spend-based calculations, while activity data such as kWh, litres, kilograms and kilometres can come from ERP, operational systems or Excel. Where data isn’t available in a system, surveys and Workflow collect it.
As better data becomes available, spend-based estimates can be replaced or supplemented with activity-based or supplier-specific data, one emissions category at a time.
TRANSPARENT CALCULATIONS
A library of standard emission factors is built in, and you can add custom and supplier-specific factors where more precision is needed. Mappings, calculation logic and emission factors are transparent, and your own team can maintain them.
Every calculated emission can be traced back to the underlying data, mapping, calculation method and emission factor.
